About
The a11y bugs project is a grass roots advocacy effort to identify and fix bugs that undermine accessibility on the web.
"a11y" is shorthand for the word "accessibility" where 11 is the number of characters omitted between "a" and "y".
Bugs and incorrect behavior in software can severely impede the usability of the web for everyone. If bugs and incorrect behavior are not fixed in a timely manner, they can become accepted as the norm.
Participation in the a11y bugs project is on a bug-by-bug basis. The following 15 people got together to review and co-sign the first 3 bugs:
- Alastair Campbell
- Andrew Downie
- Denis Boudreau
- Everett Zufelt
- Glenda Sims
- Jason Kiss
- Jim Byrne
- John Foliot
- Joshue O Connor
- Laura Carlson
- Leif Halvard Silli
- Nigel Peck
- Roberto Scano
- Roger Johansson
- Vlad Alexander
We are currently working on ways to open bug submissions to everyone.
