The abbreviation “a11y” stands for “accessibility,” with 11 being the letter count between “a” and “y.”

The usability of the web for all users can be significantly hampered by software bugs and improper behavior. If flaws and inappropriate behavior are not rectified right away, they could become to be considered the norm.

The a11y bugs project is a community initiative to assist tool and browser makers in prioritizing problems that threaten web accessibility. The three problems that prevent the use of alternate text, the most fundamental and well-known accessibility issue on the web, are the subject of our debut campaign.
